5. Cookies

5.1 Our website uses cookies to make our website more user-friendly. In the process, user-specific data is stored because

Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are placed and stored on your end device by the Internet browser you use. Through these cookies, certain information from you, such as your browser or location data or your IP address, is processed to an individual extent. This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure, the legal basis of this processing is our legitimate interest in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO.

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by setting your internet browser. Likewise, you can delete already stored cookies at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on your specific Internet browser used. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your Internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support.

At this point, we would like to briefly discuss the different types of cookies. We can distinguish between 4 types of cookies:

Absolutely necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary to ensure basic functions of the website. For example, these cookies are needed when a user places a product in the shopping cart, then continues surfing on other pages and only later goes to the checkout. These cookies do not delete the shopping cart even if the user closes his browser window.

Functional cookies

These cookies collect information about user behavior and whether the user receives any error messages. In addition, these cookies are also used to measure the loading time and the behavior of the website with different browsers.

Target-oriented cookies

These cookies provide a better user experience. For example, entered locations, font sizes or form data are stored.

Advertising cookies

These cookies are also called targeting cookies. They are used to deliver customized advertising to the user. This can be very convenient, but also very annoying.

Usually, when you visit a website for the first time, you are asked which of these cookie types you want to allow. And of course, this decision is also stored in a cookie.

5.2.1 Scope of processing

Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of our websites. The information collected by means of the cookies about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We use the function 'anonymizeIP' (so-called IP masking): Due to the activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. During your website visit, the following data is collected, among other things:

  • The pages you visit, your "click path".

  • achievement of "website goals" (conversions, e.g. newsletter sign-ups, downloads, purchases)

  • Your user behavior (for example, clicks, dwell time, bounce rates)

  • Your approximate location (region)

  • Your IP address (in shortened form)

  • Technical information about your browser and the end devices you use (e.g., language setting, screen resolution)

  • your internet service provider

  • the referrer URL (via which website/ via which advertising medium you came to this website)

5.2.2 Purposes of processing

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your (pseudonymous) use of the website and compiling reports on website activity. The reports provided by Google Analytics are used to analyze the performance of our website and the success of our marketing campaigns.

5.2.3 Recipient

The recipient of the data is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland as an order processor. We have concluded an order processing agreement with Google for this purpose. Google LLC, based in California, USA, and, if applicable, US authorities may access the data stored by Google.

5.2.5 Storage period

The data sent by us and linked to cookies are automatically deleted after 14 months. The deletion of data whose retention period has been reached takes place automatically once a month. You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by

a. Not giving your consent to the setting of the cookie or

b. downloading the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics here https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

and install it.

You can also prevent cookies from being stored by configuring your browser software accordingly. However, if you configure your browser to reject all cookies, you may experience limitations in functionality on this and other websites.

6. Integration of third-party service offerings

Within our online offer, we use content or service offers of third party providers on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) to integrate content or services offered by third-party providers, such as videos or fonts (hereinafter uniformly referred to as "content").

This always requires that the third-party providers of this content are aware of the IP address of the user, since without the IP address they could not send the content to their browser. The IP address is thus required for the display of this content. We endeavor to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the content. Third-party providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. The "pixel tags" can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may also be stored in cookies on the user's device and may contain, among other things, technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, time of visit and other information about the use of our online offer, as well as be combined with such information from other sources.

6.1 Instagram

Within our online offer, functions and content of the service Instagram, offered by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA, may be integrated. This may include, for example, content such as images, videos or texts and buttons with which users can make known their liking regarding the content, the authors of the content or subscribe to our posts. If the users are members of the Instagram platform, Instagram can assign the call of the above-mentioned content and functions to the profiles of the users there. Privacy policy of Instagram: http://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

6.2 Facebook

We use the Facebook Social plugin on our site, which is operated by Facebook Inc. (1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA). The integrations are recognizable by the Facebook logo or the terms "Like", "Like", "Share" in Facebook's colors (blue and white). Information on all Facebook plugins can be found via the following link: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

Facebook Inc. complies with European data protection law and is certified under the Privacy Shield agreement: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active

The plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook servers. The website operator has no influence on the nature and extent of the data that the plugin transmits to the servers of Facebook Inc. You can find information about this here: https://www.facebook.com/help/186325668085084

The plugin informs Facebook Inc. that you as a user have visited this website. There is the possibility that your IP address is stored. If you are logged into your Facebook account during your visit to this website, the aforementioned information will be linked to it.

If you use the functions of the plugin - for example, by sharing or "liking" a post - the corresponding information will also be transmitted to Facebook Inc.

If you would like to prevent Facebook. Inc. linking this data to your Facebook account, please log out of Facebook before visiting this website and delete the stored cookies. Via your Facebook profile, you can make further settings regarding data processing for advertising purposes or object to the use of your data for advertising purposes. You can access the settings here:

What data, for what purpose and to what extent Facebook collects, uses and processes data and what rights and setting options you have to protect your privacy, you can read in the privacy policy of Facebook. You can find them here: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/

6.3 Paypal

You can handle the payment process for orders with the online payment service PayPal. PayPal makes it possible to make online payments to third parties.

The European operating company of PayPal is PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. & Cie. S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg. If you choose PayPal as a payment method, your data required for the payment process is automatically transmitted to PayPal. This regularly involved the following data: Name, address, possibly company, e-mail address, telephone and mobile number, IP address.

For the processing of the purchase contract are also such personal data that are related to the respective order. The transmission of the data is for the purpose of payment processing and fraud prevention.

The data transmitted to PayPal may be transmitted by PayPal to credit agencies. The purpose of this transmission is to check your identity and creditworthiness. PayPal may also pass on your data to third parties, insofar as this is necessary for the fulfillment of contractual obligations or the data is to be processed on behalf. You can find PayPal's privacy policy at https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full/.

The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) b) DSGVO, as the processing of the data is necessary for the payment with PayPal and thus for the performance of the contract.

6.4 Newsletter

We offer you on our website that you register free of charge for our newsletter. In addition to your declaration of consent, we need your e-mail address. Further information, e.g. your name, is voluntary and serves to address you personally. We will only send you the newsletter if you first confirm your registration via a confirmation e-mail sent to you for this purpose by clicking on the link provided for this purpose. This is to ensure that only you can subscribe to the newsletter. Your confirmation in this regard must be made promptly after receipt of the confirmation e-mail, otherwise your newsletter registration will be automatically deleted from our database.

The legal basis for the newsletter dispatch as well as voluntary additional information is Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO. By sending the newsletter registration, you agree to the processing of your data by us. In addition, we store the time (date and time) of transmission of your data to us, as well as your IP address within the scope of your newsletter registration. The processing of this data corresponds to our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO, in order to ensure the security of our systems and to counteract misuse.

Your data will be processed exclusively in connection with the sending of newsletters. The purpose of processing your e-mail address is to enable us to send you the newsletter. Further data within the scope of the registration process serve either to address you personally or also to ensure the security of our services and to prevent misuse of the e-mail address used.

Your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose. Your e-mail address will therefore be stored for the period of your active newsletter subscription if you have given your consent for this. The data that we additionally collect automatically during your subscription (IP address, date and time) will be deleted at the latest when you end your newsletter subscription.

6.4.1 Evaluation of user behavior

When sending our newsletter, we evaluate user behavior (e.g. opening rate, click rate, bounces). For this purpose, we use so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, i.e. short code characters that link to our website. This works by associating log files with web beacons. Such tracking is restricted if you have deactivated the display of images by default in your e-mail program. In this case, however, the newsletter will not be fully displayed to you and you may not be able to use all the functions. If you display the images manually, the above-mentioned tracking will take place. If links in our newsletter are clicked, this can also be tracked (via so-called "tracking domains"). With this data, we can evaluate, for example, which content was particularly interesting and which was not.

The data is collected exclusively pseudonymously, so that the IDs are not linked to your personal data and a reference to persons is excluded. We use the data to create statistics for the improvement of our offers and services.

The legal basis for newsletter tracking is Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO.

You can object to tracking at any time by clicking on the separate link provided in each e-mail or by writing to us via the contact channels mentioned under point 1.

You can unsubscribe or cancel our newsletter at any time. You will find the link to do so at the end of each newsletter. By doing so, you revoke your consent or object to any further use of your data for the purpose of sending the newsletter.

6.4.4 Rights of the data subject

The applicable data protection law grants you comprehensive data subject rights (rights of information and intervention) vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the processing of your personal data, which we inform you about below:

Right to information pursuant to Art. 15 DSGVO: In particular, you have a right to information about your personal data processed by us, the processing purposes, the categories of personal data processed, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data have been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period and/or the criteria for determining the storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, complaint to a supervisory authority, the origin of your data if it has not been collected from you by us, the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and, if applicable, meaningful information about the logic involved and the scope and intended effects of such processing that concern you, as well as your right to be informed about what guarantees exist in accordance with Art. 46 DSGVO when your data is transferred to third countries;

Right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 DSGVO: You have the right to have any inaccurate data relating to you corrected without delay and/or to have any incomplete data stored by us completed;

Right to deletion pursuant to Art. 17 DSGVO: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data if the conditions of Art. 17 (1) DSGVO are met. However, this right does not exist in particular if the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims;

Right to restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR: You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data as long as the accuracy of your data, which you dispute, is being verified; if you refuse the erasure of your data due to unlawful data processing and instead request the restriction of the processing of your data; if you require your data for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims after we no longer need this data after the purpose has been achieved; or if you have lodged an objection for reasons relating to your particular situation as long as it has not yet been determined whether our legitimate grounds prevail;

Right to information in accordance with Art. 19 DSGVO: If you have asserted the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing against the controller, the controller is obliged to inform all recipients to whom the personal data concerning you have been disclosed of this rectification or erasure of the data or restriction of processing, unless this proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. You have the right to be informed about these recipients.

Right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 DSGVO: You have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request that it be transferred to another controller, insofar as this is technically feasible;

Right to revoke consent given in accordance with Art. 7 (3) DSGVO: You have the right to revoke consent to the processing of data once given at any time with effect for the future. In the event of revocation, we will delete the data concerned without delay, unless further processing can be based on a legal basis for processing without consent. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation;

Right to lodge a complaint pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR: If you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the GDPR, you have - without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy - the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence, workplace or the place of the alleged infringement.

6.5 Google Maps

On this website we use the offer of Google Maps, another offer of the company Google Ireland Limited. This serves the purpose of showing you interactive maps directly in the website, making it easy to find the places we indicate on the website and to use the map function comfortably. This application is retrieved directly from servers of the company Google, so that the company receives the IP address currently assigned to you. By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have called up the corresponding sub-page of our website. Whether and to what extent or over what period of time the IP address is stored and used internally by Google is beyond our knowledge. The legal basis for the integration of this service is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DS-GVO.

If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that Google stores your IP address and uses it to create a profile. Google stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and / or design of their website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (also for users who are not logged in) for the display of tailored advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles by Google.

We would like to point out that data processing by Google may take place outside the EU/EEA. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. Further information on data protection at Google can be found at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

In this way, we can adapt it to the current legal requirements and take into account changes to our services. The most current version applies to your visit.
