The final publication of the five-year project, mitlesen! Partizipative Literaturformate (Read Along! Participatory Literary Formats), brings together theoretical reflections and practical insights into the evolving field of literary education. Contributions by Julia Schäfer, Claudia Roßkopf, Jael Krämer, and others examine literary education as an artistic and curatorial practice and explore the concept of participation in all its facets. Practical examples reflect on the differences between mediation and participation. Experimental approaches, such as plain language, the combination of spoken and sign language, and sign language poetry, complement the volume. The playfully designed practical section illustrates concrete projects, including their themes, methods, and results, and demonstrates how literature is reimagined through dialogue with diverse audiences. This section is structured according to the croc-gu-phant principle. This folding technique, originating from the children’s book sector, enables readers to combine three segments—theme, method, and result—in various ways to generate new project ideas.
