Sandra Stein: Keine Ahnung

Puberty is a time where we test boundaries, play with identities and thereby develop a sense of self and our position in relation to others. This process is unsettling, sometimes overwhelming and always deeply influential: What we go through during this time has an enormous impact on our subsequent adulthood.

The ongoing project Keine Ahnung (which means »No Clue«) by German photographer Sandra Stein has already spanned more than 10 years in which she has portrayed a number of teenage girls during their adolescence. By visiting and revisiting them, Stein has marked the stages of change and transformation from their childhood to becoming young adults.
